Most states are offering free fishing days during National Fishing and Boating Week, which takes place from June 6th through June 14th this year.
According to the 2014 Special Report on Fishing, nearly a third of participants in the sport said that having easier and more affordable access to fishing equipment would motivate them to get out on the water.
